Kharta Valley Trek of Tibet is an isolated region containing arid plateau and massive Himalayan ranges, including Mount Everest. A trekking trip into this area offers quite an extraordinary opportunity to experience pristine wilderness, beautiful alpine lakes surrounding by many beautiful valleys, some of which are glaciated. Starting from the Kharta Valley, the trail heads to east face of Mount Everest passing through places from where there are excellent views of Everest, Makalu, Pethang, Lhotse and many more.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Katyhmamndu-Lhasa flight.
Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar airport, you shall be met and transfer provided to Lhasa City.
Day 04: Lhasa. Visit The Potala Palace & Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung & Sera Monastery and Barkhor Bazaar.
Day 05: Lhasa Gyantse. Drive to Gyantse via the Lake Yamdrok-Tso. Visit the Khumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. One Night at Hotel Gyantse.
Day 06: Gyantse-Xegar. Embark on a pleasant drive to Shigatse visiting Shalu Monastery enroute. Check into hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit the Bazaar & The Tashilunpo Monastery. O/nt at Hotel Shigatse.
Day 07: Drive to Xegar. One Night at Hotel Quomolangma.
Day 08: Drive to Kharta. Camp.
Day 09: Trek to Tamoche. Camp.
Day 10: Trek to Sagar. Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Pola Tal via Doya Pass. Camp.
Day 12-13: Explore The Everest Base Camp. Return to Rongphu for o/nt. Camp.Day 14: Drive to Tingri. Camp.
Day 15: Drive to China Base Camp.
Day 16: Cho - Oyu Base Camp.
Day 17: Climb Balung - Ri. Camp.
Day 18: Return to China Base Camp.
Day 19: Drive to Tingri. Camp or Guest House.
Day 20: Drive to Kathmandu.
Day 21: Final Departure.
